The exhibition «Andrey Klimov. Behind the Scenes», devoted to the artist’s anniversary, is open at the Coach House of the A.A. Bakhrushin Theatre Museum from August 30.
The exhibition’s main idea is to show where the work on a performance begins: to invite the audience to the artist’s studio, to demonstrate a part of the collection of unique ancient objects and accessories that the artist collected for many years and that served as an impulse for the imaginative solution of the plays or individual costumes. The audience will see not only the artist’s works for performances /costume designs, drawings, etc./, but also the real antiques: hat pins, buttons, buckles, cufflinks, handbags from the late 19th century to the 1960’s. These things charged the artist with a creative energy and inspired him by the beauty of their lines.
