Radio Theatre Studio Museum opened on 28 December 2015 – the idea of its establishment belongs to Zoya Vladimirovna Chernysheva /1926 – 2007/, a drama writer and a director. She worked many years on radio, wrote scenarios for dozens of spectacles, mainly for children and the youth.
Zoya Vladimirovna Chernysheva donated to the A.A. Bakhrushin Theatre Museum her apartment and collection – photographs, documents, records of radio and theatre spectacles, radio technology and many other that shows several pages of the history of the art radio streaming, works of famous directors, actors, hosts and redactors. Museum strives to make exhibitions about the history of radio technology, recording, sound editing and mixing, memorial displays devoted to prominent figures of the radio theatre.
The mission of the Radio Theatre Studio Museum – the new branch of the A.A. Bakhrushin State Central Theatre Museum – is to preserve and study the large heritage of the Radio Theatre, return to the art the deserved place on air and in the hearts of radio listeners.
