The 10th anniversary of the Shchepkin House’s Home Theatre

A new display «Everything Has Its Time and Time of Every Thing Under the Sky» is open at the Shchepkin House Museum from June 17. The display is timed to the 10th anniversary of the Shchepkin House’s Home Theatre. It features a series of posters and collages of performances, as well as photos, sketches and materials from the personal archives of Anatoly Ledukhovsky, theatre artistic director, and the Home Theatre’s artists. The display is located in the foyer of the Shchepkin House’s Home Theatre. An extensive catalog with photos, posters, sketches, as well as texts of director, artists, theatre critics and audience’s opinions was prepared for this exhibition.

Within the anniversary’s celebration, a small concert performed by Yuliya Bogdanovich, Mariya Galkina and Mariya Garnicheva, the Home Theatre’s actresses, was held at the Museum.

The Shchepkin House’s Home Theatre was established in 2008 on the initiative and with the support of Dmitry Rodionov, General Director of the Bakhrushin Museum, and Sergey Barkhin, People’s Artist of Russia and stage designer. Anatoly Ledukhovsky, theatre director, became an artistic director of this theatre. During its existence, the theatre presented 17 unique performances that were shown at international festivals.
