The Zamoskvorechye District is famous for its ancient and rich history. Life was always going on there with new merchants’ shops, growing trade, unusual people and houses, which became nowadays a subject of admiration for innocent bystanders and architecture lovers.
The Bakhrushin Museum decided to collect under its roof the picturesque works revealing the landscapes of the life of this cozy part of the Moscow centre that have preserved the most its historical and cultural appearance.
The exhibition will feature the works by Moscow artists and graphic artists who have started their creative career in the 1960’s: Nikolay Andreev, Nikolay Shcheglov, Vasilisa Gubarova, Svetlana Yegorova and Elsa Khokhlovkina. The author of the project is Ekaterina Andreeva-Prigorina, a member of the Association of Art Critics of Russia and a co-author of the book «The Light of a Moscow Window».
