The exhibition «Stanislav Morozov. Strokes Through Childhood» is open on April 18 at the Theatre Gallery on Malaya Ordynka. It presents the artist’s sketches and posters for the performances «The Players» and «Manon Lescaut» directed by Roman Viktyuk, «The Belkin Tales» and «The Queen of Spades» directed by Pyotr Fomenko, «Incident at Vichy» directed by Mikhail Kozakov, «Romeo and Juliet» directed by Anatoly Efros, etc. Also there are shown his graphic and stenography works created from the 1970’s up to the present day.
Stanislav Morozov, born in 1938, is an artist, a professor, a head of the scenography department at the Russian Institute of Theatre Arts. He is an Honorary Member of the Russian Academy of Arts, a laureate of the Crystal Turandot Award, a laureate of the Feshin Prize, a winner of international prizes in Italy and France. From February 1998 till 2009 he has been a main artist of the TV channel «Kultura». During his whole career, Morozov has designed about 200 performances in Russia and abroad.
